Vital Care of Portland | Happy Valley, ORSchedule: Wednesday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunchSetting: Locally owned, closed-door home infusion pharmacy and ambulatory infusion suiteVital Care of Portland is looking for a part-time Staff Pharmacist to join our growing home infusion team. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys clinical review, patient care coordination, regulatory oversight, and working closely with pharmacy technicians, nurses, prescribers, and referral partners.We are a closed-door pharmacy, which means our pharmacists can focus on clinical and operational pharmacy work without the interruptions of a traditional retail environment. Our team is locally owned and operated, and we are focused on providing responsive, high-quality infusion care to patients across Oregon.What You'll DoThe Staff Pharmacist will support clinical pharmacy services through the review of physician orders, medication dispensing, patient documentation, and oversight of sterile compounding and clean room activities.Responsibilities include:Reviewing and evaluating physician orders for appropriateness, safety, and accuracyVerifying medications, supplies, and administration equipment for safe and efficient dispensingProviding pharmacist oversight of sterile compounding activities performed by trained personnelEnsuring sterile compounding, clean room maintenance, and related documentation are completed in compliance with USP , regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and company policiesSupporting quality control, performance improvement, cleaning logs, environmental monitoring documentation, and other compliance activitiesServing as a clinical resource to prescribers, referral sources, nurses, patients, and caregiversCoordinating with nursing partners regarding patient care, drug delivery, administration support, and clinical assessmentMaintaining accurate documentation related to prescriptions, compounding oversight, dispensing, and patient careStaying current on clinical issues, infusion therapy practices, accreditation standards, and applicable Board of Pharmacy requirementsSupervising or supporting pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support personnel as neededAssisting with employee orientation, training, or preceptorship when appropriatePotentially serving as backup pharmacy manager when the pharmacy manager is unavailable, in accordance with Oregon Board of Pharmacy requirementsWhat We're Looking ForRequired:Active Oregon pharmacist license in good standingAt least 2 years of experience working as a licensed pharmacist in a pharmacy settingAvailability to work Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PMStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with pharmacy staff, nurses, prescribers, referral sources, patients, and caregiversStrong attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyComfort overseeing sterile compounding and clean room compliance activitiesAbility to work in a small, growing, team-oriented pharmacy environmentPreferred:Home infusion, specialty pharmacy, hospital, or outpatient infusion experienceExperience with sterile compounding oversightFamiliarity with USP requirementsSterile compounding training or willingness to complete required training and competency assessmentsExperience supervising or supporting pharmacy technicians or other pharmacy support personnelPhysical RequirementsThis role may require:Standing for extended periodsFrequent computer use for documentation, order entry, and label preparationOccasional lifting of heavy and bulky items, such as infusion solutions or suppliesUse of personal protective equipment and clean room related suppliesWhy Join Vital Care of Portland?Consistent part-time schedule: Wednesday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PMClosed-door pharmacy environment with no retail counter, no drive-through, and fewer patient-facing interruptionsMeaningful clinical and operational pharmacy workOpportunity to build or deepen home infusion experienceLocally owned, patient-focused pharmacy environmentClose collaboration with nurses, providers, referral partners, and pharmacy techniciansGrowing business with opportunities to help shape workflows, compliance processes, and patient care operationsCompensationCompetitive hourly rate, between $65-$75, based on experience.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief note about your interest in home infusion pharmacy.
