Pharmacy Manager

A closed-door long-term care pharmacy in Lexington is seeking a strong, dependable Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations and ensure compliance. This is a direct hire opportunity with an immediate start. The team has faced challenges with staffing reliability, so consistent attendance and leadership presence are critical for success in this role. Candidates with LTC experience and a proven management background are highly preferred.Term of Assignment: ASAP start - Direct HireSchedule:Monday - Friday: Day ShiftEvening and weekend coverage only as neededJob Duties:Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulationsOversee daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing and patient care servicesMaintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substancesDevelop and implement policies for safe and efficient operationsSupervise and support pharmacists, technicians, and staffConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing trainingOversee inventory management to balance supply and minimize wasteCollaborate with providers, insurance companies, and stakeholdersAddress customer concerns and ensure timely resolutionStay current on industry trends, medications, and regulatory updatesLead quality improvement initiatives and optimize workflow efficiencyConduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance and safetyMaintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy environmentRequirements:Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license2-4 years of long-term care (LTC) experience (highly preferred)Recent pharmacy management experience required (LTC strongly preferred)Strong leadership, reliability, and attendance recordWillingness to learn Frameworks system (training provided)Team/Culture:Closed-door LTC pharmacy environment (approx. 600 prescriptions/day)Focus on accountability, reliability, and operational excellenceSupportive leadership structure with opportunity to make a direct impactCollaborative team working toward improved staffing stability and workflowFor more information on this position and other opportunities with RPh on the Go, please contact Mariyah Easterly.
