Personal Assistant & Household Manager NW Washington, DC | HybridAbout the OpportunityA private principal and family are seeking a highly organized, polished, and proactive Personal Assistant / Household Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a sophisticated private household. This person will serve as a trusted right hand, ensuring the household runs efficiently, anticipating needs before they arise, and creating systems that bring structure and calm to a fast-moving environment.Household & Property ManagementOversee the daily operations and overall organization of a private residenceEnsure the home remains consistently organized, functional, and guest-readyCoordinate household maintenance, repairs, seasonal needs, and vendor schedulingConduct regular walkthroughs to proactively identify issues or improvementsManage deliveries, returns, mail, and household logisticsCreate and maintain systems for household organization and documentationMaintain records including warranties, manuals, service schedules, receipts, and household inventoriesVendor & Staff CoordinationManage relationships with household vendors, contractors, and service providersCoordinate scheduling, oversight, and quality control for external servicesAssist with onboarding and coordination of household staff as neededMaintain clear communication and accountability across all vendors and partnersScheduling & Personal SupportCoordinate personal, household, and family appointments and logisticsAssist with travel preparation, packing coordination, and home readinessHandle errands, purchasing, returns, gifting, and ad hoc personal requestsConduct research and provide recommendations when neededAnticipate needs and ensure follow-through on both large and small tasksInventory, Food & Home ReadinessMaintain household inventory, pantry, and supply managementCoordinate grocery ordering and specialty purchasesAssist with light meal coordination/preparation as neededHelp prepare the home for guests, gatherings, and seasonal transitionsEvents & HostingAssist with planning and execution of dinners, holidays, birthdays, and small eventsCoordinate catering, rentals, décor, and event logisticsEnsure events and guest experiences feel polished and seamlessWhat We're Looking ForSignificant experience in personal assistance, executive support, household management, or private service environmentsPrior experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, or family offices strongly preferredStrong executive presence with exceptional discretion and professionalismHighly organized with excellent follow-through and attention to detailAble to anticipate needs, problem-solve independently, and adapt quicklyComfortable balancing administrative work with hands-on household coordinationExcellent communication and relationship-management skillsTech-savvy and comfortable managing digital calendars, household systems, and documentationValid driver's license and ability to travel locally as neededWork StyleThis is a hybrid role combining remote administrative work with regular in-person support at the residence several times per week.
