Hoag Specialty Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and personable Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience in Urology to join our nationally ranked program based in Newport Beach, California.Hoag Urology Center is a recognized leader in accurately diagnosing and treating urological issues while providing the most advanced surgical non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment options available.Position Details:Full-Time opportunity in Newport Beach, CA and Irvine, CASchedule: Monday - FridayOutpatient focused role with inpatient duties as needed including service as first surgical assist in operating roomSupport our high-risk prostate cancer programConduct physical exams, diagnose, and treat illnesses, order, and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, etc.Assesses, diagnoses, plans and implements the medical care of patients in collaboration with a physicianFunctions within the full scope of licensure; accountable for the assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of careProvides medical consultation including the performance of therapeutic procedures delegated by the supervising physician, assist with various procedures, provides patient education, treatment and follow-up, may complete daily rounds and as needed using an organized multi-disciplinary team approach to provide continuity of care throughout the care continuumThe Physician Assistant's responsibilities may include managing patients in an office, hospital, emergency and/or perioperative settingFollows ambulatory care and inpatient standardized procedures, protocols, policy and proceduresQualifications:Demonstrated knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique relative to operative procedures wherein the PA assistsGraduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program2 years of recent relevant experience as a Urology PA or NP requiredDemonstrates knowledge of patient care guidelines/policy as evidenced by quality of documentationMedical knowledge and skills applicable to perform within the scope of practiceThorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiologyWorking knowledge of electronic health records such as EPICActive CA PA license or ability to obtain CA PA licenseCompensation & Benefits:Competitive Compensation Package: Base guaranteed salaryComprehensive benefit package: medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement (401k with a match)CME stipend of 2,000 annuallyMalpractice coverage providedHoag qualifies for public student loan forgivenessContact:Steven YiPhysician ConsultantSteven.yi@
