We take pride in delivering comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and ongoing support tailored to the unique needs of each patient.Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Phlebotomistto support our clinical operations. This is a hybrid rolewhere approximately 90% of responsibilities will be Medical Assistant dutiesand 10% will involve phlebotomy (blood draws)This position requires an active phlebotomy certification/license (required), as part of recent operational changes to integrate blood draws into clinical workflows. All newly hired Medical Assistants will be expected to perform phlebotomy as part of their core responsibilities.This is an on-site position that requires regular travel to multiple clinic locations throughout various Bay Area and Central California clinic locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable commuting between sites. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and committed to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.This role will begin with a paid training period (schedule TBD based on training staff availability) and may transition into a 2-5 day work week depending on business needs.ResponsibilitiesMedical Assistant Duties (Approx. 90%)Travel to designated clinic locations as part of weekly schedule; must be dependable and flexible with commuteRecord patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, pain level) and verify patient identityPrepare intake documentation and lien paperwork prior to appointmentsUpdate charts with patient info, treatment plans, and follow-up notes; pre-chart ahead of scheduled visitsMaintain cleanliness, readiness, and supply organization at satellite office locationsSchedule and confirm appointments in coordination with front desk staffServe as a liaison between patients and legal offices; relay inquiries and ensure appropriate follow-upSend clinical documentation (progress notes, billing info, referrals, MRI orders) to attorneys and referring providersAssist physician during procedures such as IV setups and injections (preparing materials, not administering)Prepare syringes for nerve blocks and IV materials in advance of appointmentsMonitor and maintain inventory of essential medical supplies (e.g., syringes, IV bags, gauze, catheters)Phlebotomy Duties (Approx. 10%)Perform blood draws (venipuncture) as needed during patient visitsProperly label, handle, and prepare specimens for transportEnsure adherence to safety, infection control, and specimen handling protocolsQualificationsActive Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent phlebotomy certification/license REQUIREDCertified or Registered Medical Assistant preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationStrong understanding of medical terminology and clinical proceduresProficiency with EHR systems and clinical softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong multitasking and organizational skillsAbility to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsMust have dependable transportation and willingness to commute regularly to various clinic sites (Modesto, Walnut Creek, San Jose, Vallejo)Job TypePart-timeExpected hours: 18-40 per weekPay & Benefits$25.00 per hour$150 monthly travel stipendSchedule8-hour shiftsTuesdays & Thursdays: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PMNo weekendsWork LocationWhile the primary assignment will be based in Walnut Creek, you may occasionally travel to nearby clinic sites including Modesto, San Jose, and Vallejo.Medical SpecialtyNeurologyWork LocationIn person
