The candidate will be a strategic thinker and collaborative team-oriented individual seeking to join a growing organization. Candidates will be intellectually curious, open-minded and passionate about driving scientific development through M&A, capital raise, partnership, and other corporate transactions.Who you are:1-3 years' professional post-graduate experience in business/corporate development, consulting, equity research, venture capitalCandidates lacking professional experience but desirous of entering financial services industry are encouraged to applyPhD in a biological sciences or associated field seeking to operate at the intersection of life sciences and finance; eager to leverage scientific expertise to facilitate and executive strategic & financial transactionsDetermined, high-integrity, low-ego individuals seeking a challenging, meaningful, and financially rewarding career launchpadTeam-oriented individual with a growth mindset able to drive independent work productsSpecific responsibilities include:Transaction Execution:Work in teams of 3-5 bankers to develop all deliverables related to M&A and capital raise transactions, including management presentation, executive summary, financial model, data room management, and due diligenceEvaluate market dynamics and value proposition alignment included in marketing materials to support transaction strategy developmentCommunicate & present ideas directly to client management teams and related financial partnersConduct independent work streams amongst context of broader team product to make sure deliverable deadlines are metResearch:Lead fundamental analysis and investment research to support client deliverablesAssimilate new information rapidly from various therapeutic, medical device, diagnostic and healthcare market segments to help guide transaction decisionsManagement:Mentor & lead analysts and interns to support internal growth & development, including talent recruitment, identification, and trainingSkills and experience:Recent (1-3 years) PhD degree in biological sciences1-3 years' industry experience in the biotechnology/ life sciences industry and/or related professional roles including business/corporate development, strategy, equity research, consultingFamiliarity and knowledge of emerging/prevailing trends and value-drivers in the life science sectorAbility to multi-task and thrive in a fast- paced, deadline-driven environment with a proven commitment to producing consistent, high-quality workIntegrity, intellectual curiosity, and dedication to providing outstanding services to clientsGrowth mindsetAbout Outcome CapitalOutcome Capital is a highly specialized life sciences investment banking and strategic advisory firm, providing a value-added, market-aligned approach to mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, private equity financings, and strategic advisory.
