ASAP is actively hiring a Project Controls Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a major high-tech capital project in Chandler, AZ. This position supports a globally recognized engineering and professional services organization working within a fast-paced industrial/high-tech environment.We are seeking experienced project controls professionals with strong financial, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management experience supporting large-scale construction or capital projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term career growth and the chance to support complex, high-visibility projects.Responsibilities:Manage project controls and project accounting activities for large capital projects and programs.Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial analyses.Track project commitments, invoices, expenditures, and forecasted costs.Review and manage vendor and subcontractor billings, invoices, and payment coordination.Support contract compliance activities and ensure adherence to project financial processes.Coordinate accounts payable activities, invoice approvals, and general ledger allocations.Prepare and process journal entries and cost allocations across project areas.Monitor project financial performance and communicate project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.Maintain project accounting documentation and reporting records.Assist in resolving billing discrepancies, payment issues, and project financial disputes.Partner closely with project managers, accounting teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.Monitor timekeeping accuracy and assist with resolution of timekeeping discrepancies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.Minimum 6 years of experience in project controls, cost controls, project accounting, financial analysis, or related experience.Experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, EPC, or high-tech projects preferred.Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, financial reporting, and cost tracking.Experience managing vendor commitments and contract compliance.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial/project tracking systems.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.Preferred Experience:Semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing projectsLarge capital construction projectsEPC/project-based environmentsIndustrial or mission-critical facilitiesCost controls and project financial managementAdditional Information:Contract-to-hire opportunityFull-time onsite role in Chandler, AZLong-term growth potentialSupporting a major high-tech client and large-scale capital program
