The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.Title: Construction ManagerLocation: Indianapolis Explain a typical day in the roleOversees construction operations at the Early Works site in Columbus, OH, as the senior representative.Summary:The main function of a construction manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out, etc.Job Responsibilities:Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.Assign, direct, and evaluate work of the site team.Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.Skills:Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage one's time.Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.Ideal background of a candidate for this role?15 years of construction management experience and a related Bachelor's degree.Top 3 Must-Have HARD SkillsEarthworks - 5 yearsReview and interpretation of construction drawings - 10 yearsManagement of project cost and schedule - 10 yearsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.PMI or PMP certification preferred.10+ years experience required.ThanksSalary Range: $2,10,080 - 2,15,080 Annually -Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: [medical insurance] [dental insurance] [vision insurance] [401(k) retirement plan] [long-term disability insurance [short-term disability insurance] [5 personal days accrued each calendar year.
