Deposit & Loan Operations Manager - Banking

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Deposit & Loan Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of deposit and loan servicing functions within a growing community retail banking environment. This individual will play a critical leadership role in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and exceptional internal and external client service. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of retail banking operations, loan servicing workflows, deposit operations, and banking regulations, along with proven leadership experience managing operational teams in a fast-paced banking environment.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily deposit and loan operations activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and banking regulationsManage operational functions related to ACH processing, wire transfers, account maintenance, overdrafts, check processing, debit cards, online banking, and exception handlingSupervise loan servicing operations including boarding, payments, payoffs, escrow administration, collateral tracking, and maintenance of commercial and consumer loan accountsEnsure compliance with applicable banking regulations including BSA/AML, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg E, UCC, and other federal and state banking requirementsMonitor operational risk controls and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and service qualityPartner closely with branch leadership, lending teams, compliance, treasury, and senior management to support operational initiatives and strategic goalsDevelop, maintain, and enforce operational procedures, policies, and internal controlsManage and mentor operations staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing developmentAssist with audits, examinations, and regulatory requests while ensuring timely resolution of findingsSupport system conversions, new product implementations, and operational projects as neededReview operational metrics and reporting to identify trends, mitigate risks, and improve performanceEnsure high levels of customer service for both internal and external clients while resolving escalated operational issuesQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent banking operations experienceMinimum 5+ years of banking operations experience within a retail or community banking environmentPrior management or supervisory experience overseeing deposit and/or loan operations teamsStrong knowledge of deposit operations, loan servicing, ACH, wires, retail banking products, and operational controlsUnderstanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements impacting deposit and loan operationsExperience working with core banking systems and banking technology platforms
