This role supports MSC vessel maintenance by researching and tracking repair parts identified by Principal Port Engineers, screening and validating material and service order requests, and ensuring requisitions align with mission, repair, and allowance requirements. The specialist maintains inventory accuracy for assigned vessels, administers tasks, supports team training, and performs quality assurance. The position also includes developing, editing, and formatting technical documentation such as trainee guides and desk guides. A key function is interpreting maintenance items, both government-furnished and unidentified, and determining the correct parts required to complete work orders.
