Desktop Engineer - Contract to Hire - Fully Onsite 5x/week in Los Angeles CA 90064 - $30.00 - $36/hr.The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship not available.Our client is seeking a Desktop Engineer in Los Angeles, CA 90064 (FULLY ONSITE 5X/WEEK).Role OverviewAV support contractor as the first responder for conference room and collaboration technology at customer. Will work closely with customer AV level 2 Technicians (P2) and IT teams to ensure all meeting room spaces are fully operational, meeting-ready, and proactively maintained.This role is highly hands-on and user-facing, focused on resolving real-time issues, performing daily room validation sweeps, and maintaining a high-quality meeting experience for customer. You will operate within ServiceNow (SNOW), Slack, and other tools to manage incidents and communicate updates.Responsibilities-Provide onsite, day-to-day AV support for conference rooms and collaboration spaces-Act as the first point of contact for AV issues, responding via ServiceNow, Slack, and ticket queues-Perform daily room sweeps to validate system health and readiness, including:-Checking conferencing computer (PC/Google Meet systems)-Verifying cameras, microphones, speakers, and displays are functioning-Identifying and resolving "silent failures" (frozen panels, disconnected devices, etc.)-Ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and set to correct inputs-Troubleshoot AV issues across conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and h/wSupport basic meeting and event setup as needed-Escalate complex hardware, firmware, or system issues to AV Technicians (P2) or engineering teams-Assist with minor AV hardware swaps, installs, and updates onsite-No remote work.
