This is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing Power Generation, and related power delivery and generation systems. As the Director, you will lead a dynamic team of Associate Directors, Project Managers, and technical design staff, providing both technical leadership and client-facing expertise. This role will be instrumental in staff development, recruiting, operational execution, and annual business planning, helping drive sustainable growth and support company revenue goals across the broader Power Generation market.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee Atwell's Power Generation efforts across Thermal Generation, utility-scale solar, BESS, Wind, Transmission, Substation, and related power infrastructure projects throughout the U.S.Provide strategic technical leadership and direction for engineering, design, and project execution efforts within the Power & Energy teamManage and mentor a team of Associate Directors, Project Managers, and technical staff, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing environmentAct as a senior client liaison, building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting project delivery from early-stage development through detailed design and executionPartner with internal leadership to grow and strengthen Atwell's presence across the broader Power Generation market, helping expand both existing client relationships and new business opportunitiesDevelop, retain, and recruit top talent in engineering, project management, and technical leadership to support long-term team growthDrive annual business planning in collaboration with executive leadership, including revenue forecasting, staffing strategy, and market growth initiativesOversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure strong project performance and successful client outcomesSupport the continued evolution of internal processes, delivery standards, and team structure to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across Power Generation projectsQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; PE license highly preferredMinimum of 12+ years of professional experience in Power & Energy, with strong experience supporting Power Generation and/or High Voltage Power delivery projectsDemonstrated experience across one or more of the following markets: Power Generation or T&D marketsProven track record in client-facing leadership roles, with strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skillsDemonstrated experience leading, developing, and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, with a passion for talent development and organizational growthStrong strategic planning and business leadership skills, including experience with annual planning, team development, and revenue growth initiativesTechnical understanding of engineering and design workflows relevant to power generation and related infrastructure projectsAbility to thrive in a remote work environment and travel as needed to support clients, projects, and internal team initiativesPay Range - $160,000 - $225,000 base + Bonus + Benefits.Equal Opportunity StatementWhile AI tools may support your application process, this role is built on human talent.
