PTS Advance is hiring an Entry-Level Distribution Designer/Engineer to join our growing team in Tampa, FLThis is a full-time, onsite position offering hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects that help power communities.What You'll Do:Assist in the design of overhead and underground power distribution systems for local tampa clients. (typically 4kV-35kV).Prepare construction drawings and permit packages using AutoCAD, GIS, and utility-specific software.Support field walkdowns and site evaluations when needed.Interpret and apply utility design standards and local codes.Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and utility clients.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Eagerness to learn utility distribution design standards and industry tools.Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or similar drafting/design software (coursework or internship experience is great).Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Preferred But Not Required:Internship or co-op experience in power systems or infrastructure design.Knowledge of NESC standards or experience with utility permitting.Exposure to distribution design tools or GIS platforms.Why Join PTS Advance?Work with an experienced team and build a strong technical foundation.Opportunities for career growth into engineering, project coordination, or client-facing roles.Be part of essential energy projects that impact communities.Competitive pay and supportive, team-first culture.How to Apply:Please submit your resume along with a project portfolio highlighting relevant academic, internship, or freelance work.??
