This is a hands-on role focused on precision mechanical design, system integration, and product execution.You'll own the full life-cycle and technical direction of a product at the intersection industry innovation and the bleeding edge of scientific research. ResponsibilitiesLead design and integration of precision optomechanical assembliesDrive mechanical design for complex optical systems with tight tolerancesPerform tolerance analysis, material selection, and DFM activitiesSupport thermal and structural design considerations affecting optical performanceMentor engineers and provide technical leadership across programsPartner with manufacturing and suppliers to transition designs into productionSupport prototype builds, testing, and troubleshootingRequirements6+ years of optomechanical or precision mechanical engineering experienceStrong background in precision mechanical design for optical or photonic systemsExperience with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and precision alignmentPrior technical leadership or project ownership experienceProficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NXThermal analysis/modeling experience is a plusPreferredExperience with lasers, imaging systems, photonics, aerospace, defense, or semiconductor systemsFamiliarity with FEA, vibration/shock analysis, and environmental testingPrototype and manufacturing experienceJoin a team building advanced hardware systems with real technical ownership and impact.
