This role operates in an Owner's Representative capacity, providing independent oversight of scheduling across the full project lifecycle"”from early planning through construction, commissioning, qualification/validation (CQV), and closeout.The Project Scheduler will serve as a subject matter expert in integrated scheduling, ensuring alignment between design, construction, system turnover, commissioning, and validation activities within highly regulated, cGMP-compliant environments.Role accountabilities:Develop and manage integrated master schedules encompassing design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and validationDefine and control critical path, dependencies, and milestone sequencing across multi-disciplinary teamsPerform schedule impact analysis, risk identification, and mitigation planningProvide proactive advisory support to project leadership on schedule performance and risksDevelop preliminary schedules, WBS structures, and milestone frameworksIntegrate regulatory approvals, permitting, and long-lead equipment procurementCoordinate design deliverables with early CQV planning requirementsReview and approve contractor schedules (baseline, interim, GMP)Perform schedule health checks and monitor performance against baselineFacilitate pull planning sessions and coordination meetingsEvaluate time impact analyses (TIAs) and contractor recovery plansIntegrate system turnover, commissioning, and validation milestones into the master scheduleTrack CQV-critical milestones (e.g., system start-up, turnover packages, readiness for release)Support MEP/system-based sequencing and pull planningEnsure alignment between construction completion and validation readinessValidate and approve as-built schedulesConfirm completion of regulatory and contractual milestonesSupport lessons-learned and benchmarking activitiesDevelop and maintain schedule dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or equivalent)Monitor and report on:Schedule performance (SPI)Milestone adherenceCritical path movementRisk and recovery actionsDeliver weekly and monthly reporting packages, including narrative and variance analysisInterface with owners, designers, general contractors, commissioning teams, and CQV stakeholdersLead schedule workshops, pull plans, and coordination sessionsEnsure compliance with Good Engineering Practices (GEP), SOPs, and regulatory requirementsMaintain clear, concise communication with cross-functional teamsOther duties as assignedQualifications & Experience:5-10+ years of project scheduling experience supporting capital projectsDemonstrated experience in life sciences / pharma / biotech / laboratory facility projectsProven experience across:DesignConstructionCommissioning / CQV phasesExpertise in developing and managing integrated schedules across construction and CQV activitiesAdvanced proficiency in:Primavera P6Microsoft ProjectEnterprise scheduling systems (e.g., Oracle-based platforms)Experience supporting cGMP-regulated environments (e.g., pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or laboratory facilities)Strong understanding of:System turnover and commissioning sequencingQualification and validation processes (CQV)Regulatory milestone integration into project schedulesExperience coordinating construction-to-CQV transition and facility/area release readinessAdvanced knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedulingExperience performing:Schedule health assessments (e.g., industry standard checks)Time impact analysis (TIA)Schedule risk analysis and mitigation planningAbility to integrate:Construction schedulesCommissioning activitiesValidation timelines into a unified planStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesHigh attention to detail and data-driven decision-makingAbility to communicate complex schedule issues to technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven success in a client-facing / Owner's Representative roleStrong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skillsFull-time, dedicated project assignmentOn-site presence required at a major life sciences or laboratory facility project locationEmbedded within a multi-disciplinary capital project teamAbility to provide legal US work authorization documents required.
