Controller

A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations within a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing organization. This role will oversee general ledger activities, support process improvements and automation initiatives, and play a key role in helping modernize financial and operational processes within a stable and growing business environment.The Controller role is a fully onsite position based in Cincinnati, OH. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong leadership visibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a closely held organization.Controller ResponsibilitiesOversee general ledger accounting and month-end close activitiesSupport financial reporting, reconciliations, and daily accounting operationsAssist with process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational upgradesHelp modernize and maintain accounting spreadsheets and reporting processesSupport inventory, manufacturing, and operational accounting activitiesCollaborate with leadership on process improvements and business initiativesAssist with front office and administrative responsibilities as neededPartner cross-functionally with operations and office staff to support overall business needsController RequirementsStrong general ledger accounting experience requiredManufacturing industry experience strongly preferredExperience working in a small to mid-sized company environment preferredFour-year degree requiredExperience with Epicor is a plusStrong problem-solving and process improvement mindsetAbility to work hands-on in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentStrong communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse workforceWillingness to adapt, improve processes, and support operational changesUHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
