Role: Construction Manager - Pharma/BiotechLocation: Lebanon, IN (On-site)Engagement Type: 3-Year ContractPosition Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Lead - Equipment to support a large-scale pharmaceutical capital project focused on process and clean utility equipment installation, execution, and turnover. This role will provide field leadership across construction activities, ensuring successful coordination between engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading equipment installation and turnover activities within GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead construction oversight and field execution activities for pharmaceutical process and clean utility equipment installationsManage equipment lifecycle activities from installation through mechanical completion, commissioning support, and operational turnoverCoordinate construction sequencing, equipment readiness, and installation planning to align with project schedulesConduct daily field walkdowns to monitor construction progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolutionSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities, including coordination with equipment manufacturers and project stakeholdersCollaborate with engineering, CQV, quality, safety, and construction teams to ensure compliant installation and turnover executionReview contractor progress, installation quality, punch list items, and turnover documentationEnsure all equipment installations comply with GMP requirements, project specifications, safety standards, and applicable regulatory guidelinesTrack project risks, schedule impacts, and equipment status while providing regular updates to project leadershipDrive mechanical completion activities and support transition into commissioning and qualification phasesCoordinate turnover packages, redline documentation, and construction closeout deliverablesSupport startup readiness and operational handover activitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline preferredExtensive experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences capital projectsProven background in construction management, equipment installation, and field execution within GMP-regulated facilitiesStrong understanding of construction sequencing, mechanical completion, turnover, and commissioning processesExperience supporting large-scale or mega capital projects highly preferredKnowledge of GMP compliance, pharmaceutical construction standards, and clean utility systemsAbility to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, construction drawings, and technical specificationsStrong leadership and coordination skills in fast-paced project environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across field teams and project leadershipExperience supporting commissioning, qualification, and startup activities preferred
