Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)Full-Time, Night Shift · Lansing, MIMid-West Center for Sleep Disorders is a physician-owned, board-certified sleep medicine practice serving Mid-Michigan since 2008. Our team manages a full-service in-lab sleep facility, home sleep apnea testing program, comprehensive PAP and oral-appliance therapy, and an active research portfolio of industry-sponsored sleep trials through Sound Asleep Research. We are AASM-accredited and use Compumedics Profusion for in-lab acquisition and scoring.THE ROLEWe are hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to acquire, monitor, and support the scoring of overnight sleep studies for our clinical and research patients. You will be the primary technologist on assigned nights, working directly with our sleep physician, lead RPSGT, and research coordinator. This is a full-time night-shift role with a stable schedule and no rotating hospital call.LOCATION & SCHEDULEThis role is based at our Lansing sleep lab (3937 Patient Care Dr, Suite 102) "” a multi-bed AASM-accredited facility serving Mid-Michigan since 2008. You will work alongside our existing Registered Sleep Technologists, trainees, and per-diem pool.Full-time, 3 to 4 night shifts per week (typically 7 pm to 7 am, with some flex). Mixed clinical and research nights; research nights typically follow a specific protocol schedule provided in advance. No weekend on-call expectation outside of scheduled shifts.WHAT YOU'LL DOSet up, calibrate, and monitor diagnostic PSG, CPAP / BiPAP / ASV / AVAPS titration, and pediatric studies per AASM standards.Acquire MSLT and MWT studies; manage daytime nap protocols per AASM scoring rules.Execute sponsored clinical-trial protocols accurately and on time "” including source documentation, drug-administration safety checks, and sponsor monitor visits.Score studies in Compumedics Profusion per AASM 3 % rule (clinical) and 4 % rule (CMS) as appropriate. Complete tech-summary documentation each night.Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and consumables. Coordinate with biomed and vendors as needed.Educate and orient patients to PAP therapy at setup and titration. Document mask fit, leak, comfort, and patient response.Mentor and supervise tech trainees on the BRPT pathway.Participate in AASM accreditation maintenance, QA reviews, and lab-policy updates.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSCurrent BRPT-issued RPSGT credential, in good standing.Minimum two (2) years of independent PSG acquisition experience.Current BLS (CPR) certification.Comfortable with Compumedics Profusion (or willing to cross-train within 30 days).Excellent attention to detail, comfortable working overnight independently, strong patient-care and communication skills.Able to lift 25 lb routinely (supplies, equipment) and assist patients with mobility.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience with industry-sponsored sleep research protocols (any phase).GCP and IATA training already completed.Pediatric PSG experience.Experience mentoring junior techs through BRPT credentialing.Familiarity with athenaOne EMR (training provided if not).COMPENSATIONHourly base pay competitive with the Mid-Michigan market, commensurate with experience, plus a night-shift differential. Sign-on bonus of $5,000-$8,000 payable at 90 days of satisfactory performance.
