Monument's remote workplace model has been a cornerstone of our success for years, allowing us to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a highly engaged and connected workforce.Position: Financial CoordinatorLocation: Remote | Full-TimePay: $65k-$85k Salary is dependent upon experience Position DescriptionMonument has a great opportunity for a Financial Coordinator who will support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including payroll processing, accounting support, project financial tracking, and administrative coordination. This role requires strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across finance and operational functions.This position requires a motivated, well-organized, and self-directed individual to support day-to-day financial activities and payroll. A degree in accounting or finance is preferred, and bookkeeping and payroll experience is required. This position will work closely with the Owners, the Controller, and the project accounting staff. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Support· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes· Reconcile bank and credit card statements· Maintain accurate financial records and documentation· Support month-end and year-end close processes· Prepare financial reports and assist with budget trackingPayroll Administration· Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule· Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws· Coordinate with HR on employee status changes impacting payroll· Employee Expense Report Management· PTO and time entry Management· Serve as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and assist with auditsProject Accounting· Track project budgets, expenses, and billing· Assist with job costing and financial reporting for projects· Prepare monthly client statements for aging AR· Pre-invoice preparation support· Process incoming AP invoices and update AR and AP payments· Help monitor shared inboxes (PA, Contracts, Accounting)QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the best combination of knowledge, attributes, education, and experience identified below. They will need to be exceptionally well-organized, be able to work independently, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.· Strong working knowledge of Intuit QuickBooks is required.· A strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processing preferred.· Microsoft Office Suite experienceIntermediateskill with Word, and Outlook is requiredExpert use of Excel is preferredKey Attributes:· A high level of discretion with confidential materials and information. · Strong planning and organizational skills, including managing deadlines.· Highly developed interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.· Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate issues when appropriate.· Ability to analyze and interpret data while applying a high degree of independent judgment.Education and Experience:-A financially related 4-year degree is preferred.-A minimum of 4 years' work experience with a verifiable track record of success and strong references, preferably with two years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
