Property AccountantA publicly traded company in the Baltimore, MD area is seeking a Property Accountant to support their growing team. This position offers a competitive salary + bonus + equity, and a generous benefits package.Responsibilities:Maintain financial integrity for a portfolio of properties to comply with GAAP, company policies, and contract arrangementsMonth-end close procedures for assigned propertiesMonthly journal entries for revenue, CAM accruals, and tenant billings; accruals for monthly operating expenses; variance analysis; ensure internal controls are maintainedReview lease documents to ensure accuracy; assist with annual adjustment billingsAssist with preparation and analysis of budgets and forecastsEnsure timely payment, recording, and coding of invoicesAssist in maintaining books and records for an assigned property portfolio; prepare balance sheet reconciliationsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA preferred2+ years of relevant accounting experienceFamiliarity with accounting systems; Voyager preferredGAAP and SOX knowledgePublic Accounting and/or Property Accounting experience are a plus
