Data Analyst / BI & Data Platform SpecialistLocation: Los Angeles, CAEmployment Type: Full-timeWork Model: On-site / Hybrid, based on business needsSalary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experienceAbout the RoleJF is seeking a Data Analyst / BI & Data Platform Specialist to support our DTC e-commerce business, including data reporting, BI dashboard development, data modeling, data quality management, and user data governance.This role will work closely with business teams in the U.S. and data/technology teams in China to support business analysis, member insights, marketing performance, product analysis, order data, inventory data, and management reporting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical teams, and should be able to turn business questions into clear data solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesBI Reporting & Data VisualizationMaintain, optimize, and develop BI dashboards for business performance, member analysis, marketing, product, inventory, and operational reporting. Build clear and actionable data visualizations to improve reporting efficiency and support business decision-making. Work with business teams to understand reporting needs, define metrics, and translate business questions into data solutions. E-commerce Data Platform SupportSupport data pipeline and data structure development for JF's DTC e-commerce business, including user behavior, orders, marketing, products, and inventory data. Assist with data integration, data modeling, metric definition, and subject-area dataset development. Help build scalable, traceable, and reusable data structures to support daily operations and management analysis. Data Development & ModelingUse SQL, Python, Spark, or similar tools to clean, process, model, and analyze data. Support ETL/ELT processes and improve data processing efficiency and stability. Develop data models and datasets to support marketing, operations, supply chain, and management reporting needs. PII Data Handling & Compliance SupportSupport the handling of user PII data, including data masking, encryption, access control, and data lifecycle management. Assist with data governance practices related to privacy and compliance requirements, including GDPR and CCPA. Help establish and maintain proper data access rules to ensure sensitive data is used securely and appropriately. Data Quality & StabilityBuild and maintain data quality checks, monitoring processes, and exception alerts. Investigate data issues, coordinate with relevant teams, and support root cause analysis and resolution. Ensure the accuracy, stability, and traceability of key business data. QualificationsBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, BI, or data platform-related roles. Experience in e-commerce, DTC, MarTech, customer data platforms, membership programs, or cross-border business is preferred. Strong SQL skills with experience in data querying, cleaning, modeling, and analysis. Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, or other data processing tools is preferred. Familiarity with data warehouse architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and offline/real-time data processing concepts. Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickBI, DataWind, or similar platforms. Understanding of user PII data governance, data security controls, and privacy compliance requirements. Knowledge of GDPR and CCPA is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and the ability to move projects forward under ambiguous requirements. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to support cross-functional and cross-region collaboration. Preferred QualificationsExperience with AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, or similar cloud/data platform tools. Experience with CDP, member growth, advertising attribution, recommendation systems, or user profiling projects. Experience with Shopify, DTC websites, cross-border e-commerce, or U.S. e-commerce operations. Familiarity with U.S. data privacy practices, access control, or data compliance requirements. Ability to not only build reports, but also identify business problems and provide data-driven recommendations.We Are Looking For Someone WhoIs detail-oriented and highly sensitive to data accuracy.
