Hiring: Electrical EngineerLocation: Vandalia, OH 45377Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Extension possible based on performance)Shift: Monday-Friday | Normal Business HoursRole OverviewWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the research, design, development, testing, certification, and deployment of advanced aerospace systems.This role will function as an instrumentation specialist, responsible for designing and integrating instrumentation with aircraft systems (mechanical and electrical) to support FAA and MIL certification data collectionThe engineer will also:Maintain NIST standards for calibration and verificationDocument and control all calibration activitiesSupport hardware and software requirements for Data Acquisition Systems and IADS real-time displaysKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and integrate aircraft instrumentation systemsSupport flight test data collection and certification effortsCalibrate sensors and measurement systems per NIST standardsManage documentation for calibration and verification activitiesSupport real-time display and data acquisition hardware/softwareRequired Skills ? Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices ? Experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools ? Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams ? Hands-on experience with aircraft instrumentation systems ? Experience with flight testing sensor designs, specifications, and installations ? Familiarity with strain gauges, accelerometers, and related sensorsPreferred Skills? Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry ? Knowledge of electrical design principles, including:Model-based definitionElectrical component selectionManufacturing & production processes ? Familiarity with telemetry systems ? Experience with communication protocols:MIL-STD-1553ARINC 429CAN BusEthernet ? Experience with Curtiss-Wright IADS hardware and softwareEducation Requirements?? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline ?? Typically 2+ years of relevant experiencePhysical & Working ConditionsFrequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairsFrequent repetitive hand and finger motionsRare lifting (up to 20 lbs)Minimal exposure to outdoor elements, hazardous materials, or loud noise
