3rd Shift Controls Engineer10pm - 7am shift schedulePosition Summary: The 3rd Shift Controls Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining plant-wide automation and control systems in a high-speed food/beverage manufacturing environment. This role ensures reliable overnight operations by troubleshooting equipment, optimizing processes, and minimizing downtime.Key Responsibilities:Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial automation equipment during 3rd shift operationsSupport continuous production by responding to equipment failures and resolving electrical/control system issues in real timeMaintain and improve control systems to enhance safety, quality, and efficiencyPartner with maintenance and operations teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsAssist with programming updates, system upgrades, and new equipment installationsEnsure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HACCP)Document changes, updates, and troubleshooting activitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and industrial automation in a manufacturing environmentSCADA or database experiencemaintenance experience preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced production setting
