Ideal candidates for this role will have a mix of physical security installation and service experience, coupled with strong IT networking fundamentals. This is a field role where the technician will typically deploy to client jobsites from home, with some visits to the local Syracuse branch office for status meeting and parts/equipment pick up.Required Experience:5+ years of physical security service and installation experienceKnowledge with programming and configuring access control platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2, Axis, Software House, AMAG, or similarKnowledge of video surveillance cameras and platformsStrong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals including IP addressing, subnets, gateways, DHCP, and DNSExperience with VLANs, network segmentation, and Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking conceptsAbility to configure and troubleshoot IP-based physical security and access control devices on enterprise networksExperience troubleshooting device connectivity using tools such as ping, traceroute, IP scanners, and switch port diagnosticsKnowledge of PoE infrastructure, network switches, and power/network troubleshooting for IP cameras and access control hardwareUnderstanding of enterprise client/server security system architecture, controller communication, and firewall/network communication pathsTo apply, please submit your resume to msmith@.
