We are seeking an experienced, high-energy Expedited Dispatcher to manage and grow our fleet operations at our Itasca, IL office. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing premium freight, onboarding drivers, keeping units moving, and maximizing profitability for our sprinter vans and straight trucks.The ideal candidate brings an established network, deep industry expertise, and a proven track record of keeping drivers busy and profitable.What You Will DoFleet Growth: Onboard, manage, and retain owner-operators and drivers for sprinters and straight trucks.Source Premium Freight: Utilize load boards, broker relationships, and direct shippers to secure high-paying expedited loads.Maximize Driver Earnings: Route units efficiently to eliminate deadhead, minimize dwell time, and ensure consistent weekly revenue for drivers.Manage Logistics: Coordinate time-sensitive shipments, track transit milestones, and provide proactive updates to customers.Solve Problems: Resolve on-the-road issues, transit delays, and breakdown logistics quickly to maintain strict delivery windows.What We Are Looking ForExperience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated dispatching experience specifically handling sprinter vans and straight trucks.Driver Network: Ability to immediately attract or bring over trusted sprinter/straight truck drivers is highly preferred.Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of expedited freight rates, capacity trends, and geographic hot lanes.Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with TMS, tracking tools, and major load boards.Skills: Elite negotiation skills, sharp critical thinking, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.Location: Must be able to commute daily to our office in Itasca, IL.What We OfferCompetitive base salary with an aggressive, uncapped incentive/bonus structure tied to fleet growth and profitability.Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO).Ground-floor opportunity with direct path to leadership as operations expand.Supportive company culture.
