Applications Engineer - Pump Manufacturer (36226)

An international pump manufacturing company is currently searching for a motivated Applications Engineer to support their team in Syracuse, NY area. The ideal candidate has work closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering departments to provide technical support, product recommendations, and customized pumping solutions for various industrial applications. This is a full-time, direct hire position. Applications Engineer Responsibilities Include: Review customer specifications and application requirementsRecommend appropriate pump products and system solutionsPrepare technical proposals, quotations, and product documentationProvide technical support to customers and internal sales teamsAssist with product selection, sizing, and performance calculationsCoordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams on custom projectsSupport troubleshooting and problem-solving activitiesParticipate in customer meetings, presentations, and project discussionsMaintain knowledge of industry standards and company productsOther duties as assignedApplications Engineer Requirements Include: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferredExperience in pumps, fluid systems, rotating equipment, or industrial manufacturing preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skillsAbility to read engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and customer service skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software toolsExperience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is a plusAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
