This is a strong opportunity for someone coming from manufacturing, food production, packaging, or industrial environments that enjoys a fast-paced purchasing role with direct impact on operations.This is a highly visible role supporting plant operations, sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and purchasing execution for a nationally recognized manufacturing organization.What I am looking for in a candidate: Longevity - Tenured experience with the same company for 2-3 years at a stintideally 5+ years of purchasing / procurement experienceMRO purchasing experience - buying parts for machinesManufacturing industry backgroundVendor management and negotiationsOracle ERP experience preferredStrong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs / Pivot Tables)Ability to manage supply issues, purchasing activity, and vendor follow-upOverview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing has a rich history of delivering top talent to our clients.
