" A Database Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining database systems that store and organize critical business data.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop database architectures (Mainly Oracle, SQL Server)Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functionsMonitor database performance and tune queries for efficiencyEnsure data integrity, consistency, and security across systemsImplement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategiesManage database access, roles, and permissionsCollaborate with application developers to design data models and schemasTroubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutionAutomate database tasks using scripting (PowerShell, ShellEnsure compliance with data governance and regulatory standardsSupport data migration and integration activitiesRequired Skills & QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldTechnical SkillsStrong experience with SQL and database designHands-on experience with DBMS: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQLand MongoDBKnowledge of indexing, partitioning, and performance tuningFamiliarity with ETL processes and data warehousing conceptsExperience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL) is a plusScripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell) and winScp knowledge mustOther SkillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills specially for Prod supportStrong attention to detailGood communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesCertification in database technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle)
