Job Title: Application Engineer (AI)Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite)Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Potential Extension up to 3 Years)MOIVideoJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer (AI) to join a long-term enterprise AI initiative with EY in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, modern frontend frameworks, API development, and AI/ML integration within enterprise applications.The candidate should possess hands-on experience building scalable web applications, developing microservices, and working within cloud-native environments. Experience with Agentic AI applications and modern AI frameworks is highly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using Python and modern frontend technologies. Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Develop responsive UI components using React or Angular. Integrate AI/ML capabilities into production applications. Collaborate across teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best engineering practices. Support Azure-based deployments and cloud-native application development. Work with enterprise integration patterns and middleware platforms. Participate in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and application enhancements. Required Skills5+ years of experience in software/application engineering roles. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and application architecture. 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience. Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Frontend development experience using React or Angular. Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Exposure to AI/ML technologies and integrating AI features into applications. Familiarity with Azure deployments and cloud environments. Understanding of Kubernetes is a plus. Preferred QualificationsExperience developing Agentic AI applications. Knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and TensorFlow. Experience with programming/scripting languages such as PowerShell, Java, C++, C#, Hive, R, or NoSQL technologies. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
