Project Market: Mission Critical ConstructionProject Type: Hyperscale Data Center ConstructionProject Location: Charleston (Discussed during Interview)Project Work Schedule: HybridContract Type: PermanentKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage the end-to-end design coordination process across Mechanical, Electrical, and specialist packages for hyperscale data center projectsAct as the primary interface between the client, design consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless design deliveryOversee design development from concept through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handoverManage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure alignment with project scope, performance requirements, and technical standardsReview and challenge design proposals to ensure compliance with client requirements, data center standards, and industry best practicesDrive design risk management by identifying, tracking, and resolving design issues in a timely mannerCoordinate with BIM teams to ensure accurate, clash-free, and constructible design modelsSupport value engineering initiatives while maintaining performance, resilience, and uptime requirements critical to hyperscale environmentsManage technical submittals, RFIs, design change control, and document approvalsEnsure designs align with commissioning strategies and operational requirements for mission critical infrastructureLiaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained through delivery and installation phasesAttend and lead technical workshops, design reviews, and client meetingsMaintain program alignment and support delivery against critical project milestonesEnsure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and hyperscale client specificationsProvide technical leadership and guidance across all design disciplinesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipleProven experience in mission critical construction environments (data centers, large-scale infrastructure, or critical facilities)Strong background in MEP design coordination within complex building services projectsExperience working in a client-side consultancy, developer, or design management role preferredDemonstrated involvement in hyperscale or large-scale data center projectsStrong understanding of commissioning processes in high-availability environmentsProficiency with BIM processes and multidisciplinary coordination toolsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong technical knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy strategies, and resilient infrastructure designAbility to manage multiple design packages and drive delivery under tight program constraintsFamiliarity with industry standards relevant to data centers and critical environmentsProactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in fast-paced, high-pressure project environmentsMUST HAVE TO BE CONSIDEREDRight To Work - In the USA - No Sponsorship/Work Permits AvailableExperience on - Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences & Semi-Conductor Projects
