Distribution Design Engineer

We are seeking an Distribution Design Engineer to join a growing team supporting utility distribution projects. This role involves a mix of field and office-based work, with the opportunity to transition from a remote environment to a hybrid model in Minnesota as operations expand.This individual will play a key role in designing electrical distribution systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting client-facing initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop overhead and underground electrical distribution systemsUtilize engineering software to create design prints, schematics, and cost estimatesConduct field visits to assess project sites and gather necessary dataCollaborate with project managers, coordinators, and clients to meet project requirementsEnsure designs align with industry standards, safety guidelines, and customer expectationsManage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining qualitySupport team initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement effortsRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) from an ABET-accredited institutionMinimum 2+ years of relevant experience in:Electric utility industry ORElectric utility consulting (distribution design engineering)
