The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, think critically, and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to the team.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and assist with federal and state income tax returnsSupport consolidated tax return preparation and related workpapersAssist with tax provision and compliance processesResearch tax issues and assist with technical tax mattersReview prior-year filings and workpapers to identify efficiencies and ensure accuracyPartner cross-functionally with accounting and finance teams as neededAssist with various tax projects and process improvementsMaintain organized and accurate tax documentationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCPA or CPA-track preferred2-5+ years of relevant tax experiencePublic accounting experience strongly preferredExperience with income tax and consolidated tax returns requiredBackground with a mid-sized or national CPA firm highly preferredStrong understanding of tax compliance and accounting fundamentalsAbility to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal oversightStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesWhy JoinConsistent 40-hour work weeks with excellent work/life balanceHybrid schedule with 2 remote days per weekCollaborative, team-oriented environmentHands-off leadership style that values autonomy and ownershipOpportunity to grow within a stable and well-established organization
