This role supports core HR administration while contributing to the ongoing modernization of HR processes through systems, automation, and AI-enabled toolsThe position follows a hybrid working model, with four days per week based in the Houston office, enabling close collaboration with HR, HRIS, and People Technology partners.This role is well suited for an individual who enjoys both hands-on HR operations and continuous improvement, and who is motivated to improve accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience through smarter use of technology.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Administration & OperationsSupport high-volume HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including:Pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screening, I-9 verification)New hire onboarding and employment documentationEmployee data maintenance and updates within HR systemsEnsure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee informationServe as a reliable point of contact for employees and internal stakeholders, providing clear, timely, and accurate HR supportMaintain organized records and documentation in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirementsHR Systems, Automation & AI EnablementIdentify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and prevent recurring errorsPartner with HRIS and People Technology teams to:Transition work from spreadsheets and manual trackers into structured HR system workflowsSupport testing, documentation, and user enablement for new or enhanced HR system functionalityUse tools such as Excel, HRIS workflows, and AI-enabled features to:Improve data quality and consistencyDevelop templates, job aids, and standardized operating proceduresDemonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by considering:How automation or AI could improve an existing processHow system design can prevent errors rather than relying on repeat checksRequired Experience & SkillsExperience in HR administration or HR operations supporting the employee lifecycleExperience working in a corporate, fast-paced, or high-volume environmentStrong attention to detail and disciplined handling of sensitive informationProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and communicate proactivelyDemonstrated examples of improving, simplifying, or standardizing a processPreferred (Nice to Have)Experience working with Oracle Fusion HCM or another HRIS platformExperience transitioning work from spreadsheets to system-based solutionsExposure to or interest in automation, AI tools, or workflow optimizationShared services or case management environment experienceExperience supporting a global or multi-country workforceCore CompetenciesAccountability & OwnershipChange & Forward ThinkingProcess OptimizationSystems & Tools ProficiencyCustomer FocusClear Communication & CollaborationIntegrity & ConfidentialityTeamwork across teams, cultures, and time zonesEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent certification (completed or in progress).Why Join Seadrill?Hybrid working environment with strong in-office collaborationSalary range of $55,000 - $65,000, based on skills and experienceOpportunity to contribute to HR systems, automation, and process transformationExposure to modern HR technology and AI-enabled initiativesCompetitive benefits and a collaborative, global work environmentJoin Seadrill.
