Position Details:Job Title: Vulnerability SE ILocation: Virginia Beach, VA (Hybrid)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ESTTelework: Monday & FridayIn-Office: Tuesday, Wednesday & ThursdayPosition Overview:The Vulnerability Software Engineer I will support the cybersecurity, end-user computing, and core engineering teams. This role will focus on vulnerability identification, remediation tracking, scripting, automation, and deployment support related to Microsoft technologies and enterprise security systems.Key Responsibilities:Work with the vulnerability management system to identify, review, prioritize, and track vulnerabilitiesResearch and implement remediation configurations for identified security vulnerabilitiesCollaborate with System Engineer II and cybersecurity teams to develop automation scripts, deployment packages, and installer solutionsDevelop and maintain dashboards within vulnerability management systems to monitor remediation effortsAssist with deployment validation and remediation testing activitiesSupport cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability management operations across enterprise systemsPerform additional technical duties as assigned based on operational requirementsRequired Skills & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field with 2+ years of professional IT experienceOR equivalent combination of education and progressive IT experience totaling 6+ yearsExperience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, network engineering, database administration, or related technical environmentsKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation strategiesExperience evaluating vulnerabilities and prioritizing remediation efforts based on riskHands-on experience with endpoint/client management tools such as:Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)Microsoft IntunePatchMyPCWorkspace OneScripting experience with:PowerShellVBScriptBatch scriptingFamiliarity with database, network, virtualization, and OT environmentsKnowledge of cloud security architecture and best practices for:AWSMicrosoft AzureGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)Additional Requirements:May require a valid driver's licenseCandidate must complete in-person fingerprintingMust meet CJIS Clearance and Certification requirementsPreferred Candidate Profile:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cybersecurity and infrastructure teamsExperience supporting enterprise vulnerability remediation initiativesStrong communication and documentation abilities
