Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst

Our client, a growing consumer goods / food manufacturing organization, is seeking a senior-level Accounts Receivable Analyst to support and help elevate the A/R function within their Chicago headquarters team.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing/CPG environment and has strong experience managing customer deductions, collections, credit review, and aging metrics while partnering cross-functionally with Accounting and Finance leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounts receivable activities for high-volume customer accountsPerform credit review and customer risk assessment activitiesHandle collections efforts and resolve customer disputes in a professional and timely mannerInvestigate and manage trade promotions, deductions, chargebacks, and trade spend discrepanciesMonitor aging reports, DSO metrics, and aged trial balancesPartner closely with Senior Accountant, Cash Manager, and Corporate Controller on process improvement initiativesAnalyze account activity and proactively identify trends, risks, and process inefficienciesSupport cash application and reconciliation activities as neededAssist in strengthening and scaling the A/R function with a more forward-thinking and analytical approachQualifications5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience within consumer goods, food manufacturing, beverage, or CPG environmentsStrong background in:Credit reviewCollectionsTrade promotion deductionsChargeback managementAging and DSO analysisExperience handling large customer accounts and high transaction volume environmentsAbility to work independently with minimal oversightStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsERP experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, Dynamics, etc.)Advanced Excel skills strongly preferredPreferred BackgroundCandidates coming from food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or retail-driven environments with exposure to complex retailer deductions and trade spend management are highly preferred.
