Electrical Design Engineer (EPlan)Alpharetta, GATerm - Direct HireRate - $120,000 - $140,000 per annumWe're working with a growing automation and custom machinery business looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer to their engineering team.This is a hands-on role focused on the electrical design and integration of custom industrial equipment and automation systems. You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle "” supporting machine design, electrical documentation, system integration, and commissioning activities for complex automation projects.It's a great fit for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, collaborating across engineering teams, and delivering high-quality electrical designs for real-world manufacturing applications.What You'll Be Doing:Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring documentation using EPlanDevelop and maintain electrical designs in line with NFPA and ISO standardsSupport machine integration, debug, and commissioning activities during build and startup phasesWork closely with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing teams, and Customers throughout project deliveryAssist with electrical component selection, BOM generation, and design standardisationSupport troubleshooting of electrical systems and machine functionality both internally and on customer sitesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of new design technologies and processesWhat They're Looking For:Successful people in this role tend to be detail-oriented engineers with strong technical knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.You'll likely have:Experience producing electrical designs and schematics for industrial automation or machinery projectsStrong working knowledge of EPlan or similar electrical CAD softwareThe ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control systemsExperience working with industrial control systems including Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley platformsStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal teamsA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field "” or equivalent hands-on experiencePreferred ExperienceExperience working within automation, special purpose machinery, or capital equipment environmentsFamiliarity with HMIs including Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, or BeckhoffExperience with safety PLCs, safety devices, and fail-safe electrical design principlesExposure to robotics, machine vision systems, or commissioning activitiesExperience supporting projects through installation, startup, or field service phasesWhy This Role?This position offers the opportunity to work on complex automation and custom machinery projects from concept through completion, with strong exposure to electrical system design, machine integration, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.For more information about this Electrical Design Engineering role please apply, or email Jack Smillie on jsmillie@ who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.Many thanks, Premier Group
