Senior Data EngineerLocation: Remote / Hybrid (U.S.-based)Industry: HealthcareEmployment Type: Full-TimeA Fortune 500 healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its growing enterprise data and analytics team. This role will support large-scale cloud data initiatives focused on modernizing data platforms, enabling advanced analytics, and improving enterprise-wide data accessibility across clinical, operational, and business domains.The ideal candidate is a highly skilled data engineering professional with strong experience designing scalable cloud-based data solutions and working within modern lakehouse architectures. We are specifically seeking candidates with strong experience in Databricks and a preference for professionals holding current Databricks certifications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflowsBuild and optimize cloud-native data architectures supporting enterprise analytics initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, data science, architecture, and business stakeholdersImplement data quality, governance, and performance optimization best practicesSupport migration and modernization efforts from legacy data platforms to cloud-based environmentsWork with structured and unstructured healthcare data across multiple enterprise systemsContribute to enterprise data strategy, platform scalability, and engineering standardsMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projectsRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in data engineering or related fieldsStrong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud data platformsExperience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing solutionsProficiency in SQL and PythonExperience with modern cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud PlatformStrong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architecturesExperience working in highly regulated environments preferredExcellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsDatabricks certification strongly preferredExperience within healthcare, payer, provider, or life sciences environmentsFamiliarity with healthcare data standards and compliance requirementsExperience with CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practicesExposure to real-time streaming and advanced analytics environmentsWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for high-impact engineers who thrive in enterprise-scale environments and are passionate about building modern data platforms that drive business transformation.
