Senior Full Stack Next.js Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Next.js Engineer to join our growing technology team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern web application development, scalable enterprise architecture, and AI-driven application design.This role requires a hands-on engineer with deep experience in Next.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, Tailwind CSS, and modern AI technologies. The candidate should be capable of contributing across frontend, backend, cloud, and AI integration initiatives while collaborating closely with product teams, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders.The ideal individual is passionate about building scalable, intelligent, and high-performance applications using modern development frameworks and emerging AI technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using Next.js and React.js. Build modern, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using Tailwind CSS and contemporary frontend best practices. Develop and optimize backend APIs, services, and database integrations using PostgreSQL. Contribute to solution architecture, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices. Design and implement AI-powered workflows, AI agents, Agentic AI solutions, and intelligent automation platforms. Integrate Machine Learning models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI capabilities into enterprise applications. Collaborate with Data Science teams to support predictive analytics, NLP, and AI orchestration initiatives. Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL queries for scalability and performance. Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support activities. Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering organization. Support cloud deployment activities, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps initiatives. Stay current with emerging technologies, modern AI frameworks, and full-stack development trends. Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills7+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise application development. Strong expertise in: Next.js React.js JavaScript / TypeScript Tailwind CSS PostgreSQL Strong understanding of: REST APIs Microservices architecture Scalable distributed systems Secure application development Experience developing and deploying AI-powered applications and intelligent workflows. Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications. Experience with: AI agents and Agentic AI frameworks RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures OpenAI APIs or similar LLM platforms LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable orchestration frameworks Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with: Docker Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines Git-based development workflows Strong analytical, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
