Sr. SAP EWM Functional Consultant

Job Description:The Sr. SAP EWM Functional Consultant is primarily responsible for implementing the Extended Warehouse Module in SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have experience with manufacturing operations and preferably a high-level understanding of SAP SCM, MES, and PLM integrations and Master Data Management. The candidate will use in-depth analysis skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to implement effective solutions and provide support services to end users. Additional responsibilities include managing the development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end SAP EWM implementation, configuration, and optimization within the SAP S/4HANA environment covering warehouse structure, storage types, sections, bins, and activity areasConfigure and manage core EWM processes including inbound and outbound deliveries, goods receipt, goods issue, putaway, picking, packing, and transfer order managementDevelop and maintain robust partner relationships with a primary focus on SAP modules including MM, QM, PP, EWM, TM, and EAMCoordinate extensively with business users, functional and cross-functional team members, developers, and integration resourcesSupport integration of SAP EWM with SAP MM, PP, QM, TM, and EAM modules within the S/4HANA landscapeCollaborate with MES, PLM, and SCM teams to ensure seamless data flow and process continuity across manufacturing and warehouse operationsMaintain the integrity of development, test, and production environments associated with each applicationConduct fit-gap analysis, business process workshops, and requirements gathering sessions with warehouse operations and supply chain stakeholdersDevelop functional specifications for RICEFW objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflowsSupport data migration activities including master data setup for warehouse structures, storage bins, and handling unit managementManage system testing including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and regression testingProvide post-go-live support, end-user training, and documentation for warehouse operations teamsHandle escalations and communicate effectively with stakeholders to address concerns and ensure satisfactionIdentify continuous improvement opportunities within the EWM platform to drive operational efficiencyRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience8+ years of experience with SAP functional experience with minimum 5+ years of SAP functional experience in supply chain modulesStrong hands-on expertise in SAP EWM on S/4HANA including warehouse structure configuration, putaway and picking strategies, transfer order management, and RF frameworkExperience with full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations from blueprint through go-live and post-production supportSolid understanding of warehouse and logistics operations within manufacturing or technology environmentsStrong in corresponding business processes and related project implementation using SAP Best Practices with in-depth analysis skills, business knowledge, and technical expertiseExperience with SAP EWM integration with SAP MM, PP, QM modules and end-to-end supply chain processesStrong acumen to understand business needs and manage services in a dynamic environmentExcellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience ensuring data quality, metadata management, compliance, and consistency of master data across business systems including PLM, SAP, MES, and other systemsFamiliarity with SAP TM (Transportation Management) and EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) modulesExperience in automotive, high-tech, or autonomous vehicle / mobility technology industriesKnowledge and experience with SLAs, OLAs, and contracts in insourced or outsourced environmentsITIL Certification is a plusSAP EWM or S/4HANA certification is an added advantage
