Job Description

We are hiring a Director of Operations & Brokerage. The role is roughly half operations and half brokerage, with the operations side being the priority.We're seeking an individual who can take ownership of the operating side"”intake, systems, back office, and agent support - while also handling real brokerage work: qualifying leads, carrying clients, and supporting the agent team. There is meaningful upside for someone who wants to grow with the firm over time.Operations (The Bigger Half)Business Triage: Act as the strategic filter for new inbound business. You will qualify leads, gather necessary data, and coordinate with the principal to ensure deals are routed properly - ensuring high-level execution for every client.Systems: Develop, own and improve firm systems and processes, including transaction workflows, tracking transactions, marketing templates, and client reporting.Office & Compliance: Manage vendors, professional services, and the day-to-day compliance and work that keeps a small firm functioning.Investment Support: Provide administrative and operational support for the principal's investment properties.Agent Enablement: Serve as the operational resource for our agent team, providing them with the tools and process support they need to close deals effectively.Brokerage (The Smaller Half)Client Execution: Carry client work end-to-end - surveys, tours, BOVs, LOIs, negotiations, and escrow. The mix is mostly small-to-mid-sized deals, with larger healthcare providers and systems in the rotation.Deal Support: Act as a "second chair" or technical resource for other agents on transactions.Growth: Help recruit and onboard new agents as the firm grows.What we needActive CA Real Estate License: Broker preferred; salesperson acceptable.CRE Experience: Enough experience that clients and sophisticated investors trust you in the room.Operational Instincts: You genuinely enjoy building systems and making a business run cleanly.Financial Fluency: Comfortable with commercial real estate - lease provisions, economics, terms, cap rates, lease analysis, etc.Local: Our office in in Los Gatos. Be able to be in-office and on-site for tours across the Peninsula and South Bay regularly.Healthcare Experience: A plus, but not a requirement.CompensationBase Salary: $100,000-$130,000 (DOE).Commission Splits: Competitive splits on deals you personally close.Bonus: Annual performance bonus tied to firm-wide operational milestones.Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k) with match, and expense account.Realistic Year-One Total Comp: $135,000-$200,000.To applySend a resume and a short note answering the following:The Builder: Describe a process or system you built or improved and how did you measure your success.The Deal: Describe deals you have personally closed or contributed to.
