It's a place teens go after school to study, socialize, and recharge. It was designed with the same level of intention you'd expect from the best in hospitality and cultural spaces, where self-regulation tools, wellness classes, and creative labs sit alongside a community shaped by artists, creators, and voices teens already follow.The RoleWe're looking for an Interim Director of Operations to step in during a critical build phase and ensure nothing slips through the cracks as we move toward launch.This role is equal parts strategist and executor. You'll pressure-test our workback schedule, own it end-to-end, and make sure every moving piece, across teams, vendors, and internal deliverables, lands on time.You are the person who follows up when others don't, catches what others miss, and keeps momentum steady without creating noise.The ScopeReview and refine the master workback schedule - identify gaps, unrealistic timelines, and dependencies before they become problemsOwn daily execution of the workback - tracking progress, following up with responsible parties, and ensuring deadlines are metCommunicate clearly and proactively with Founder on progress, risks, and solutions when timelines shiftComplete assigned operational deliverables, some of which include:Drafting core company documents for members and staff ahead of launchEnsuring all permitting requirements are accounted for (liaising with our Permit Expeditor)Writing and refining company app copy in collab with the app staffDrafting a staffing plan for launch (to be refined by the House Manager once hired)Refining job descriptions and managing the job posting processSchedule staff certification dates (CPR, First Aid, etc.)Bring structure to ambiguity, turning loose ends into clear next steps and ownershipWhat Success Looks LikeThe workback schedule is airtight, realistic, and fully ownedEvery deadline is either met on time or proactively flagged with a clear path forwardNo operational detail is overlooked heading into launchFounder has clarity and visibility without needing to chase informationYou Might Be a Fit IfYou've operated in fast-moving, high-stakes environments (startups, launches, builds)You're highly organized, but more importantly, you follow throughYou're comfortable holding others accountable while staying calm and solutions-orientedYou don't wait to be told what's missing - you find itYou can move between big-picture thinking and detailed execution without dropping either
