Project Engineer - Manufacturing Equipment & Capital ProjectsLocation: Liberty, NCWork Type: 12 months Contract on W2 with possible extensionsPay Rate: $80-83/hourTravel: Up to 15% (primarily domestic)Overtime: Up to 25% based on project needsJob SummaryWe are seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale manufacturing equipment installation and capital project execution within a fast-paced production environment. This role will focus on planning, coordinating, and executing equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and production launch activities.The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, technical expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to meet aggressive project timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport end-to-end execution of capital equipment projects from planning through production launchCoordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and pre-production trialsCollaborate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and technicians to achieve project milestonesDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking key deliverables and timelinesMonitor and manage project budgets for assigned scopeSupport manufacturing trials to validate equipment safety, quality, and performanceIdentify and resolve issues through root cause analysis and corrective actionsTrack KPIs and support transition to full production operationsParticipate in cross-functional meetings to review project status, risks, and timelinesInterpret and work with 2D/3D engineering drawings and technical documentationEnsure adherence to operational standards, including specialized production environments where applicableSupport production during weekends, shutdowns, or critical phases as requiredRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field3-10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering, or capital project executionExperience managing capital equipment or facility-related projectsAbility to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and layoutsExperience with 2D/3D drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar)Strong project management and scheduling experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fully onsite, hands-on environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting manufacturing line setup or production launchExposure to large-scale capital investments ($500K+)Experience working in high-volume production or advanced manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with cross-functional coordination across engineering, construction, and operations teamsWork Environment100% onsite role in a manufacturing/production settingCollaborative, fast-paced, and project-driven environmentMay require extended hours, weekends, or shutdown support based on project timelinesPride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityPride Global and its affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
