Work Model: HybridPosition Type: Full-TimeOverviewA leading global provider of energy, automation, and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Project Development Manager to support the development of performance-based energy and infrastructure projects.This role partners closely with clients, sales, and internal technical teams to define project strategy, develop scope, and drive execution plans that align with customer operational goals. This individual will play a key role in shaping projects from early development through contract execution, ensuring both technical and financial viability.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Development & StrategyLead development of small to mid-sized performance contracting projectsDefine project scope, strategy, budget, and schedule aligned with client goalsSupport energy savings calculations and validate financial projectionsIdentify risks and ensure project feasibility within budget constraintsPrepare technical documentation, reports, and final project financialsClient & Stakeholder ManagementPartner with clients to understand operational needs, mission, and long-term goalsPresent technical solutions and project strategies to stakeholdersBuild strong client relationships through technical leadership and delivery excellenceEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycleTechnical LeadershipProvide guidance on scope development, engineering coordination, and project executionReview estimates, project deliverables, and contract documentationCoordinate internal and external teams including design professionals and subcontractorsSupport development and negotiation of design and construction agreementsProject ManagementDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets during development phaseCoordinate site audits, facility assessments, and data collection effortsMonitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadershipIdentify issues, manage risks, and drive resolution through project completionSafety & ComplianceEstablish and communicate project safety strategiesEnsure adherence to safety standards, audits, and risk assessmentsMaintain compliance with client and internal safety requirementsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with sales, construction, and performance teams to align project goalsLead kickoff meetings, scope reviews, and project planning sessionsCoordinate resources to meet development timelines and objectivesQualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)PE license (or ability to obtain) preferredPMP, CEM, or LEED accreditation a plusExperience3-6+ years of experience in engineering, project management, or energy/infrastructure project developmentExperience with performance contracting, energy projects, or design-build environments preferredFamiliarity with municipal, K-12, or higher education projects is a plusCore SkillsStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesFinancial acumen with experience reviewing budgets and projectionsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to influence stakeholders and drive alignmentKnowledge of construction processes, contracts, and industry standardsAdditional DetailsTravel: ~25%+ (project site visits required)Work Environment: Combination of office and active job site environmentsWhy JoinOpportunity to work on impactful infrastructure and energy projectsExposure to full project lifecycle"”from concept through executionCollaborative, innovation-driven environment focused on delivering real client value
