This role is responsible for the strategy, performance, and reliability of all non-customer-facing systems, ensuring our teams have secure, scalable, and efficient tools to operate the business. The idea candidate brings a strong technical foundation (preferably with roots in software development), combined with growing executive leadership experience and the ability to operate confidently at the senior leadership level.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop IT Operations teams, including support and systems/integrations functionsOwn the performance, reliability, and security of internal systems (e.g. email, network infrastructure, MDM, CRM platforms, cloud environments, endpoint security)Act as the senior escalation point for IT issues and incidentsPartner with executive leadership (President, VPs, Directors) to align IT strategy with business objectivesOversee IT-related compliance efforts, including SOX controls, audits, and documentationCollaborate with corporate leadership on cybersecurity initiatives, policies, and rolloutsManage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for IT systems and servicesSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for IT OperationsWork closely with the Director of Business Solutions to ensure alignment across internal and customer-facing systemsProvide informed input on architecture and solution design, with the ability to challenge and validate technical decisionsQualifications10+ years of experience in IT, with progression into leadership rolesStrong foundational background in software development or engineeringProven experience leading IT operations, infrastructure, or enterprise systems teamsFamiliarity with cloud platforms, networking, endpoint management, and enterprise SaaS ecosystemsExperience with IT compliance frameworks (SOX experience strongly preferred)Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in senior leadership settingsStrong vendor management and negotiation skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersNice to HaveExperience in logistics, freight brokerage, or related industriesExposure to high-growth or operationally complex environmentsWhat Success Looks LikeStable, secure, and scalable internal systems that support business growthHigh-performing IT Operations team with strong process-oriented service deliveryEffective partnership with executive leadership and cross-functional teamsProactive approach to risk management, compliance, and securityDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
