CAD Technician (Entry-Level)

Entry-Level CAD Technician(AutoCAD 2D)Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated entry-level CAD Drafter to support utility and civil design projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with foundational AutoCAD experience who is eager to learn and grow in a technical drafting environment.Key Responsibilities:Utilize AutoCAD 2D to convert hand-marked field drawings and annotated PDFs into accurate, clean as-built plansInterpret civil and utility plan drawings, including dimension callouts (e.g., distances from edge of pavement, centerlines, etc.)Place and label standard utility symbols based on provided legends and reference materialsWork from field-marked documents that include coordinates, pipe designations, and fitting calloutsAccurately input and maintain detailed attributes such as pipe size, material, pressure class, and depthEnsure all drawings are completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailQualifications:Basic experience with AutoCAD 2D (coursework or internship experience acceptable)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, particularly in civil or utility contextsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and drafting workComfortable working with annotated PDFs and transferring information into CAD systemsFamiliarity with utility or civil drafting environments preferredExposure to gas utility drafting is a plus, but not requiredQuick learner with the ability to apply new concepts and standards independentlyWhat We're Looking For:Recent graduate or entry-level candidate with strong technical aptitudeSomeone who is reliable, detail-driven, and eager to develop in a specialized drafting roleAbility to take direction, learn quickly, and work independently after initial training
