ERISA / Employee Benefits CounselFull-time NY, NY - 4 days in office, 1 day remoteComp 220-300,000 + 15% bonus + great benefitsOur client, a global industry-leading organization is seeking an attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join its in-house legal team supporting executive compensation, ERISA, and employee benefits matters. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior legal and HR leadership on sophisticated domestic and international benefits issues within a highly collaborative environment.The role is based in New York and offers exposure to complex transactional, regulatory, and strategic advisory work across a large-scale global platform.Key Responsibilities:Advise on ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters across the company's U.S. operationsSupport benefits and compensation aspects of M&A, corporate transactions, and restructuringsCounsel internal stakeholders on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, deferred compensation arrangements, and equity-based compensation programsAssist with compliance and regulatory matters involving the IRS, DOL, SEC, and applicable state lawsPartner cross-functionally with HR, tax, finance, compliance, and outside counsel on ongoing initiatives and projectsReview and draft plan documents, amendments, participant communications, and related agreementsMonitor legal and regulatory developments impacting employee benefits and compensation programsQualifications:3-6 years of relevant experience at a major law firm and/or in-house legal departmentStrong background in ERISA, executive compensation, and employee benefits lawExperience advising on benefits issues in corporate transactions preferredExcellent drafting, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentNew York bar admission preferred, other states will be considered as wellCompensation & Benefits:Base salary range: $220,000-300,000Target bonus: 15% (some years has gone up to 25%)Competitive benefits package, long-term growth opportunities, and a collegial team cultureIf interested, please message GregSokol@ or call his cell 914-400-6281 and leave a detailed message.
