This is a Journeyman-level electrical professional who can price work, own accounts, and ensure clean execution?? WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY OWNS?? Electrical Service Estimating (Core Function)Estimate small-to-mid commercial electrical service projectsPerform takeoffs and pricing using Accubid (preferred) or similar platformsWalk sites when needed to validate scope and field conditionsPrice work with real-world labor, access, and sequencing awarenessSupport T&M, quick-turn, and negotiated service workThis role exists because service estimates must reflect field reality, not just drawings.?? Proposal Development (CRITICAL)Build clear, client-ready proposals, including:Defined scope of workInclusions / exclusionsAssumptions and risk languageEnsure proposals reduce ambiguity and protect marginServe as the technical and commercial point of clarity for clients?? Account & Client OwnershipOwn assigned commercial electrical service accountsAct as the primary point of contact for repeat and new clientsIdentify follow-on work and service opportunitiesMaintain relationships with property managers, facilities teams, and ownersBalance service responsiveness with margin responsibility?? Execution Alignment (Not PM Bureaucracy)Coordinate with field electricians, foremen, and vendorsAlign labor, materials, and scheduling against the estimateReview shop drawings and submittals as neededClose the loop between what was priced and what was built?? IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE (NON-NEGOTIABLE SIGNALS)Journeyman-level electrical background (license strongly preferred)5+ years in commercial electrical service, estimating, or service PM rolesProven ability to estimate and price service-based electrical workStrong understanding of electrical systems, code, and field executionHands-on experience with service work, special projects, or maintenanceComfortable owning pricing, scope, and client conversationsAccubid or equivalent estimating software experienceStrong written communication "” proposal quality matters here?
