IT Asset Management Lead (ITAM Lead)Type: Long-term Contract (possibility of conversion to FTE)Location: Irving, TXJob ID: MCKEJP00006759OverviewWe are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Lead to own the full lifecycle of end-user computing (EUC) hardware assets. This opportunity will serve as a subject matter expert for hardware asset governance, ensuring inventory accuracy, cost optimization, and alignment with financial planning.You will partner closely with IT Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Security to support forecasting, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesAsset Lifecycle ManagementManage the full lifecycle of end-user hardware assets: procurement, deployment, refresh, redeployment, and retirementMaintain accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation across systemsEstablish and enforce hardware standards, lifecycle policies, and refresh strategiesEnsure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsMonitor end-user experience metrics and adjust lifecycle strategies accordinglyVendor ManagementManage relationships with hardware vendors and resellersEvaluate vendor performance, pricing, and service qualitySupport contract negotiations, including SLAs and delivery termsForecast hardware demand and maintain appropriate inventory levelsProject & Solution DeliveryLead hardware deployment initiatives from planning through executionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to assess hardware needs and implement solutionsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and automate workflowsResearch and evaluate emerging hardware technologiesFinancial ManagementDevelop and manage hardware budgets, forecasts, and refresh plansPartner with Finance on budget tracking, variance analysis, and forecastingProvide insights to support decisions such as lease vs. purchase and vendor strategyIdentify cost optimization opportunitiesReporting & DocumentationMaintain documentation for asset lifecycle processes and vendor agreementsGenerate reports on inventory, lifecycle status, vendor performance, and spendProvide insights and recommendations to leadershipQualificationsRequired7+ years of experience in IT asset management, hardware asset management, or related fieldStrong experience managing end-user hardware lifecycle (EUC)Proven experience with vendor management and hardware procurementExperience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost trackingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills (Excel or similar tools)Ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across teamsPreferredExperience with tools such as ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, or JAMFStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdaptability to evolving technology and business needEducationBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus
