To learn more, please visit our website: Position Overview:The Employment Case Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Employment Law Department by assisting attorneys and clients throughout the lifecycle of employment-related matters. This position serves as a primary point of contact for clients, helps gather and organize case-related information and documentation, coordinates communications, and supports the overall progression of claims from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, empathetic, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.Responsibilities:Client Communication & SupportServe as a primary point of contact for clients regarding case status, updates, and requests for information.Maintain regular communication with clients via phone, text, email, and other communication platforms.Gather detailed information from clients regarding employment-related claims, incidents, damages, timelines, and supporting facts.Request, collect, review, and organize client documents and records.Follow up with clients for missing information and documentation.Assist clients with completing forms, questionnaires, declarations, and other case-related materials.Maintain professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in all client interactions.Case Development & InvestigationGather and organize evidence and documentation relevant to employment matters.Send personnel demands and document requests to defendants, employers, insurance carriers, and third parties.Contact witnesses and gather statements or additional information related to claims.Coordinate collection of employment records, payroll records, personnel files, disciplinary records, and related documentation.Assist attorneys with factual investigation and case development.Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and status updates for attorney review.Identify missing documentation or potential issues and escalate them to attorneys as appropriate.Case Management & Administrative SupportMaintain accurate and organized electronic case files.Update case management systems with notes, documents, tasks, deadlines, and communications.Monitor and assist with deadlines, follow-ups, and task completion.Coordinate meetings, appointments, interviews, and client calls.Draft routine correspondence and case-related communications.Assist with preparation of demand packages and supporting documentation.Work collaboratively with attorneys, legal assistants, and department staff to ensure cases progress efficiently.Assist with intake and onboarding of new employment matters as needed.Additional ResponsibilitiesSupport attorneys with pre-litigation and litigation-related tasks as assigned.Assist in identifying opportunities to improve workflows, client experience, and department efficiency.Maintain compliance with firm policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.Qualifications:Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.Prior experience in a law firm, legal support, employment law, personal injury, or case management role preferred.Experience working with sensitive and confidential information preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.Strong attention to detail and follow-through.Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.Professional and empathetic client service skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management software.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and department needs.Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.Physical & Work RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.Ability to communicate effectively by phone, video, and written correspondence.Ability to occasionally lift and move files or office materials.Compensation:$25 to $45 per hourComprehensive Benefits Package:Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan availableCareer Development: Opportunities for professional growth and advancementComprehensive Insurance CoverageHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountLife InsurancePaid Time OffFree onsite parkingWe are an equal opportunity employer and offer competitive compensation and benefits, and opportunities for growth.
