We collaborate with leading retail brands and are proud of the high standards we uphold in every project.We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing retail and commercial projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.WHAT YOU'LL DOPreconstruction & EstimatingCollaborate on project proposals, presentations, and preconstruction planning Review contracts, general conditions, and project requirements Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules Provide constructability reviews and budget updates Coordinate subcontractor bidding and estimate reviews Review insurance and bonding requirements Project Planning & SetupPrepare job setup documentation and assist with permit coordination Review drawings, specifications, and project scopes Manage project cost codes and budget tracking Coordinate submittals, release orders, and procurement schedules Assist with field mobilization and site logistics planning Project ManagementLead project meetings and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships Monitor submittals, material deliveries, and project schedules Manage RFIs, change orders, invoices, and cost reporting Conduct site walkthroughs to ensure quality and project compliance Coordinate with field teams to maintain schedule and budget objectives Provide proactive communication and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle Project CloseoutManage project closeout processes and punch list completion Prepare final billings, retainage tracking, and turnover documentation Conduct post-project reviews and maintain organized project recordsWHAT YOU BRING5-7+ years of experience managing commercial construction projectsExperience with retail, grocery, industrial, or entertainment construction projects preferredStrong organizational, budgeting, and project management skillsAbility to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management softwareExperience with CPM scheduling and estimating preferredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong client relationshipsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites as neededCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSSalary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year DOE Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, 401(k), PTO, 7 paid holidays Shames Construction Company is an equal opportunity employer.
